Try following these steps to find books in the catalog:
Click here for a keyword search in the LCCC catalog.
In the search box, type the phrase crimes against women and click Submit.
Review the titles listed by the catalog. Click a title of interest. Some item records contain the table of contents of the book, which you can use to figure out if the title will be useful for your assignment.
OPTIONAL: When you find a book you like, to find books with similar content, click the Show Similar Items button.
For articles, I would recommend exploring the databases "Women's Studies International" and "Gender Studies Database." (If you are a student and have an updated student id, you can access both resources off campus.) Refer to the LibGuide titled About Finding Articles for more information about accessing the databases.
For additional info on the web:
- Explore "WomenWatch," a United Nations initiative that can be accessed @ http://www.un.org/womenwatch/ , and
- the WHO (World Health Organization) Multi-country Study on Women's Health and Domestic Violence against Women available @ http://www.who.int/gender/violence/who_multicountry_study/summary_report/en/index.html
