OhioLINK is the consortium of Ohio libraries (including colleges and universities, some public libraries, and the State Library of Ohio) through which students of LCCC have access to library collections throughout Ohio.
When you search for books in the LCCC catalog, if you do not find what you are seeking, or if a book you want is already checked out, click the Search OhioLINK (on the right side of screen). As long as at least one of the libraries listed has a status of "AVAILABLE" for the item, you can click the green Request button to begin the OhioLINK request process. When prompted, select "Lorain County CC" from the list of institutions. Then, provide your name (in the format requested on the page) and the number from the front of your up-to-date ID (above the bar code on the front) to submit the request. (This process is known as "authentication.")
In addition, you can use OhioLINK research databases when off-campus by authenticating. The steps in the Finding Articles LibGuide include information about gaining off-campus access to databases; see the Find Articles LibGuide (link below).
