To make corrections to your online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form, do the following:
- Select the “Log In” button on fafsa.gov and provide your FSA ID.
- Select your role.
- On the “My FAFSA” page, select “Make Corrections.”
- Create a save key.
- Change your information.
- Submit your new information.
You can also do the following to make changes to your FAFSA form:
- Write in the corrections or updates on your paper Student Aid Report (SAR), sign it, and mail it to the address provided on the SAR.
- Check with the financial aid office at the school you plan to attend; the school might be able to make changes for you electronically.
Corrections can include
- adding or removing colleges from your application,
- changing your email or mailing address, and/or
- correcting any field other than Social Security number.
