Q. I'm writing a paper in MLA style and using a block quote from a play. Should I include stage directions?

The MLA Handbook, 9th ed., does not address whether or not to include stage directions.  Ask the instructor for their preferences.  The MLA Handbook, 9th ed., does addresses quoting drama on pp. 258-259.
